Auspicious Conferral of the Khenpo Degree upon Tsewang Rinpoche
Lhabab Düchen · Lumbini, Nepal
About This Ceremony
On 22nd November 2024 — the auspicious occasion of Lhabab Düchen — H.E. Choktrul Kyabje Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche specially bestowed the Khenpo Degree Certificate upon Tsewang Rinpoche at Lumbini, the sacred birthplace of the Buddha.
This represents a tremendous spiritual and academic achievement. Receiving this honor on Lhabab Düchen — commemorating the descent of Śākyamuni Buddha from heaven to earth — and having the certificate conferred directly by H.E. Chökyi Nyima Rinpoche, makes it especially meaningful and significant.
The presence of the King of Nepal, along with many venerable teachers, monastics, and practitioners from diverse Buddhist traditions, together with the inauguration of the One Thousand Buddha Temple, created a profoundly blessed and extraordinary confluence of auspicious events.
"May the merit and Dharma activities of Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche shine like the sun and moon, illuminating all directions for the benefit of limitless sentient beings."
