Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche Travelled to Nepal

On 29 January 2026, Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche travelled to Nepal at the earnest request of Sean Price (Gelong Tenzin Jamchen)—the lead editor and translator for the final revision of the Collected Works of (Chöje Dampa Yishin Norbu) Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche—and translator Laura Swan. His mission was to bestow the complete empowerments and oral transmissions (Wang and Lung) of these collected works.
About Sean Price (Gelong Tenzin Jamchen)
Sean Price serves as the Director of Tibetan Publications at the Tsadra Foundation. He has translated numerous Tibetan Buddhist texts into English, many of which (specifically advice and practice texts) are available on Lotsawa House. He also leads the Dharma Cloud project, a digital library that distributes ancient Tibetan texts globally for free.
Conferring the Complete Transmissions
Over the course of three days, Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche conferred the complete transmissions to Sean Price, Khenchen Yeshe Gyaltsen of Shechen Monastery—a highly realized scholar and monk renowned for his profound knowledge of the Sutras and Tantras—and members of the translation committee.
Memorial Ceremony at Shechen Monastery
The conclusion of these transmissions coincided with the anniversary of Kunkhyen Longchen Rabjam's parinirvana. To mark the occasion, Khenchen Yeshe Gyaltsen invited Khenpo Tsewang to preside over the memorial ceremony at Shechen Tennyi Dargyeling Monastery in Nepal. During the event, Khenpo Rinpoche made extensive offerings and distributed sku 'gyed (monetary offerings) to the monastic community.
Three Weeks of Dharma Activities
Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche remained in Nepal for three weeks, during which he granted audiences and established Dharma connections with many devotees. On the birth anniversary of Kyabje Jigme Phuntsok Rinpoche, he led a grand Tsok feast offering at the Asura Cave, a sacred site where the late master had revealed treasures (terma). This entire Dharma mission was completed with great success.
